Lewis Wade Johnson, age 64, of Nancy, passed from this life on Monday, July 19, 2021 at the Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital after an extended illness.
He was born on June 24, 1957 in Somerset, Kentucky, son of the late Ernest C. Johnson and Lorene Wright Johnson. Lewis was a 1975 graduate of the old Nancy High School and went on to become a Land Surveyor for the Bobby Hudson Land Surveying Company. Lewis seemed to have an innate knowledge and special skills regarding surveying. He could remember precise information as though he had the data in front of him. He enjoyed NASCAR racing, truck and tractor pulls and was an avid U. K. Basketball fan. Lewis also enjoyed spending time with his family and his special "grand pups". To all that knew Lewis, he never stopped talking about his children and how proud of them he was. Being a good listener and full of generosity won him the friendship of many. He was of the Christian Faith and will be greatly missed by those who knew and loved him.
Besides his parents, he is preceded in death by a nephew; Jeffrey Coomer.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory, his son; Brandon Wade Johnson and a daughter; Blake Dior Johnson, both of Clarksville, Tennessee, a brother; Larry (Linda) Johnson of Nancy, and a sister; Carolyn Sue Coomer of Nancy, a nephew; Daniel (Relinda) Coomer of Nancy, two nieces; Dawn Dalton (Stefan Fleming) of Somerset and Madonna (Mike) Saunders of Dayton, Ohio, several great-nieces and nephews as well as a host of other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 22, 2021 in the Chapel of the Nancy Funeral Home. The Funeral Service will be at 7:00 p.m. in the Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Billy Miller and Rev. Bobby Grant officiating.
