She was born Nov. 28, 1923, in Bethel Township.
Marie retired from Big River Manufacturing. Marie was a member of Crooked Creek Presbyterian Church, where she was an elder and the treasurer for 30 years. She was a member of the Rebekah Lodge.
She enjoyed doing circle a word puzzles, playing cards, quilting, crocheting and baking, but most of all she enjoyed her time with her family.
Survivors include her daughter, Linda D. Wagner; two grandsons: Dwayne P. and wife, Paula M. Petras and William E. Petras; and great-grandchildren: Mathew R. Petras and Bethany N. Petras.
She was preceded in death by her parents: Ward R. and Myrtle I. (Bouch) Schaeffer; husband, Dwayne E. "Bud" Wagner; daughter, Karen L. Petras; son-in-law, William L. "Bill" Petras; brother, Kenneth L. Schaeffer; sister, Margaret E. Klingensmith; and an infant granddaughter, Tracy Ann Petras.
Burial will be in Bethel Lutheran Cemetery.
