Parks, Charlotte E. - of Montrose, age 78, died Thursday, October 21, 2010 at her residence. Funeral services will be held 11 AM Monday, October 25, 2010 at Mt. Sinai Lutheran Church in Montrose. Pastor Allen Lindke officiating. Burial will follow in Montrose Township Cemetery. Friends may call at the O'Guinn Family Funeral Home in Montrose on Sunday from 11-8PM. Those desiring may make memorial contributions to the church.
Charlotte was born February 19, 1932 in Vaughn, Washington to the late Harlan and Hazel (Short) Holmes. She married D.N. Parks on June 10, 1948. She was a very instrumental part of the beginnings of Mt. Sinai Lutheran Church and has been a faithful member since. Charlotte was a good cook and enjoyed knitting. She was an excellent wife and mother who will be deeply missed.
Surviving are: husband, D.N. Parks; children, Vickie Wenzlick of Montrose, Veronica Lynn (Scott) Van Wagner of Montrose, Larry (Kathi) Parks of Northville; 6 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great grandchild; sisters; Beverly Habadank of Minnesota, Marilyn (Robert) Hester of E. Tawas, Karen Holmes of Florida.
