Birbon Thomas Elliott, 81, died Sunday December 6, 1998 at the Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center in Danville. Born May 10, 1917 in Washington County, he was the son of the late Birbon D. and Ivy Young Elliott. He had been a bulldozer operator for the Nally and Hamilton Construction Company, and was a member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church. He had served in the U. S. Navy during World War II and was a member of the American Legion Post 121 in Bardstown. Survivors include: one son, Birbon O. Elliott, Lebanon; two daughters, Connie Cook of Springhill, TX and Vonda Conley of San Antonio, FL; one half brother, Bob Milburn, Springfield; one step brother, Sidney Milburn, Louisville; one half sister, Sophia Milburn, FL; 11 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren and three great great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mattie Lee Green Elliott; one son, Ronnie Paul Elliott; one daughter, Gloria June Elliott; three brothers, Woodsie, Bill and Rufus Elliott; and one sister Nancy Goode. Funeral services were Wednesday, December 9, at the Alexander and Royalty Funeral Home with Rev. Bob Bausum officiating. Burial was in Spring Hill Cemetery.
