Jeff Patterson Prominent Citizen Of Smiley, Passes
Smiley mourns the passing of one of her most prominent citizens in the death of Jeff Patterson, which occurred Tuesday night. Mr. Patterson had been ill for some time, the Inquirer understands. He is survived by his wife and a number of children. The family has been prominent in that section for many years and owns considerable interests there. They have many friends all over the county who will sincerely regret to learn of their bereavement.
The funeral was to take place this afternoon and, among those from here going out to attend were Mr. and Mrs. J. W. Vernor, N. D. Cone, Jack Rayson and B. Duncan Davis.
