OBITUARY - Mrs. Cole died Sept. 24, 1983 at the Buena Vista Manor. Mrs. Cole, the former Gertrude Bancroft, was born April 9, 1904 in Guthrie County. She married Earl L. Cole Feb. 20,1929, in Sac City. They farmed in the Sac City area, moving to Storm Lake in 1964. He died in 1974. She was a member of the Rebekah Lodge 205 of Storm Lake.
Preceding her in death were her parents, husband, Earl; two brothers, Archie and Cecil; half-sister, Minnie, and two half-brothers, Allen and Herbert.
