Mary Anne Norris, a resident of New Bern since 1993, died on Saturday at her home, 301 Juanita Lane, surrounded by her loving family. Mary Anne was born in Fayette, AL on February 15, 1941, the daughter of Hilary Truman Price and Mary Agnes Taylor Price. She is survived by her husband of 61 years, Grady Jerome Norris; a daughter, Christine Norris Bamberger of Arlington, VA and Christine's husband, Robert Bamberger; and a son, Timothy Jerome Norris of Warrenton, VA and his partner Rachel Reed. She was the eldest of four children and is survived by two brothers, Jesse Truman Price (Jeanne) of Warrior, AL; and Stephen Taylor Price (Patty) of Biloxi, MS. Her third brother, John Daniel Price (Sue) of Douglasville, GA, predeceased her. She is also survived by her sister-in-law, Sally Jane Harless (the late Ronnie) of Hueytown, AL, and many nieces and nephews. Before her retirement in 1993 Mary Anne was employed for many years as assistant comptroller and paralegal at the Virginia law firm, Rees, Broome and Diaz, Tyson's Corner, VA. After retirement, she became a dedicated gardener and landscaper, growing flowers and planting trees around her residence and attending to the large wooded areas surrounding her beloved pond.
