Mrs. Ruth M. Kyne, 72, formerly of Franklin, died at 11:50 am Wednesday in St. Francis Hospital, Olean, NY,. For the past three years she made her home with her son and his wife, Mr. and Mrs. James R. Adams, 915 Washington St., Olean. Daughter of Isaac E. and Tempa Rice Carson, she was born in Franklin July 21, 1909.
She spent most of her life in Franklin, attending school in Rocky Grove. While living here, she worked as a cook at Park Lunch. She moved to Jamestown 18 years ago and lived there until moving to Olean. While in Jamestown, she was a cook at Gandy's Seafood Restaurant.
On Sept. 2, 1925, she married Chester D. Adams, who died June 20, 1932. She married William Franklin Kyne who died Oct. 19, 1970.
With her son in Olean, surviving are two grandsons, Bruce W. Adams of Eagle Rock, CA, and James R. Adams of West Hollywood, CA; a granddaughter, Mrs. David (Randa) Greer of Syracuse, NY; four brothers, Harold E. and William L. Carson of Franklin, Robert A. and Clinton R. Carson of Burbank, CA; three sisters, Mrs. Eugene T. (Arvilla) Snyder, Meadville, Evelyn M. Carson and Mrs. Ralph (Annabelle) Whitman of Franklin; and several nieces and nephews.
Services will be at 11 am Friday at Huff Chapel with Rev. Jaime Potter Miller, pastor of Galloway United Methodist Church, officiating. Interment will be in Roselawn Memorial Gardens, Meadville.
