Betty Jo Burns, age 93, of Malvern passed away on July 17, 2021, at her home. She was born July 19, 1927, in Graysonia, Arkansas, the daughter of the late Burt and Ethel Poteet Jones.

Betty was a member of Calvary Baptist Church. She enjoyed quilting and antiques.

Other than her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, George William Burns; brothers, Buddy Jones and Grady Jones and sisters, Juanita Head and Mary "Chuck" Allen Parson.

Survivors, son, Lance Burns of Fort Worth, Texas; grandchildren, Laura Jo Murphy (Randy) of Fort Worth, Texas and Jason Lance Burns (Celia) of Wellston, Oklahoma; great-grandchildren, Jesse Murphy, Alexandria Murphy, and Malcolm Burns; great-great-grandchildren, Colton Murphy and Kash Murphy; niece, Joyce Hardage and numerous other nieces and nephews and friends.

Services will be Friday, July 23 at 10:00 am at Regency Funeral Home with Brother Jason Roberts officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to service. Burial will follow at Rockport Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the Wounded Warrior Project or Calvary Baptist Church.
