Jess Albert Marley, 97, passed away on Sunday, July 18, 2021, at Heritage Pointe. He was born in Alexander City, Idaho, on Sunday, August 12, 1923, to Iredell and Katherine (Burene) Marley. He was married to Alberta Marley, who preceded him in death on May 8, 2005.

Jess received his Bachelor's degree in engineering and worked at Dana Corp., retiring after 31 years of service. He proudly served his country in the United States Navy during World War II. Jess' greatest accomplishment was being the founder of Marbrook Campground. He loved woodworking, as well as attending church at Heritage Pointe.

Survivors include his sons, Ralph (Marilyn) Marley of Marion, David (Elaine) Marley of Kokomo, and Michael (Debra) Marley of Frisco, TX; 8 grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren.

He was also preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Edman Marley and James Marley; sister, Madilyne; and great-granddaughter, Camryn Marley.

The family will receive visitors from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm on Wednesday, July 21, 2021, at Needham-Storey-Wampner Funeral Service, North Chapel, 1341 N. Baldwin Ave., Marion, IN.

Immediately following the time of visitation, a service to celebrate Jess' life will begin at 1:00 pm with Pastor Ruben Schweiger officiating. Burial will take place at Grant Memorial Park.
