Herbert M. Oyer, Jr., 90, of Car- lisle, died Saturday, June 20th, 2015 at Emerson Hospital in Concord. He was the beloved husband of the late Christine (Psaros) Oyer who died in 1997. Born in Lakeland, Florida on June 22, 1924 he was the son of the late Herbert M. Oyer, Sr. and Clarine (Wolfe) Oyer. Mr. Oyer grew up and attended public schools in Lakeland. During World War II, he honorably served in the United States Navy aboard the U.S.S. Laffey DD724. Following his military service, he was a Brick Mason Foreman for the Salvucci Construction Company in Quincy until his retirement in 1986. A resident of Carlisle since 1997, he enjoyed building model ships and airplanes as well as flying radio-controlled airplanes. Survivors include his son, Michael W. Oyer and his wife Janet of Carlisle, his grandchildren, Cheryl Kaufman and her husband Timothy of Duxbury and Candice Oyer and her husband Ian Adelman of Somerville, and his great grandchildren, Finigan, Myles, and Emerson Kaufman.
