Leslie Dale "Les" Higgins, 75, of Kismet, passed away on February 8, 2019 at his home in Kismet, KS. He was born on July 29, 1943 to Harlan and Della (Taylor) Higgins at Colorado Springs, CO. On June 4, 1967 he married Linda Violet Winter at Liberal, KS; she survives. Les moved to Liberal in 1966. He worked as a Plant Operator at the Cimarron River Power Plant before retiring in 2010 after 43 years. Les enjoyed hunting, shooting, and spending time with his family. Les is also survived by Three Sons- Christopher Higgins and wife Retta of Lyons, KS; Matthew Higgins and wife Casey of Kismet, KS; Jacob Higgins and Andrea Estabrook of Lyons, KS; Eight Grandchildren- Gabrielle, Kaiya, Wren, Kahlis, Katelynn, Violet, Lillyanna, and Conner; Several Nieces and Nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother- Ralph Higgins; two sister- Jean Griffith and Hazel West Viewing will be 1:00 pm - 7:00 pm Monday February 11, 2019 at Miller Mortuary, Liberal, KS. Memorial Services will be 2:00 pm Tuesday February 12, 2019 at the Grant Ave. Church of Christ with Pastor Skip Francis, officiating.
