Barbara Jean Chavis-Jacobs, 77, passed away on July 16, 2021 at First Health Moore Regional Hospital in Pinehurst, NC.
She was born on April 21, 1944.
Barbara was preceded in death by her husband of 48 years, Wilbert Jacobs; her parents, John Chavis and Pattie Chavis of Maxton, NC; a sister, Savannah Brewer (130665580); three brothers: Richard Chavis, Harland Chavis, and Clement Chavis.
She is survived by two daughters, Stephanie Clark (Chris) of Maxton and Patrice Jacobs of Maxton; two sons, Audie R. Jacobs of Maxton and Aubrey Jacobs of Maxton; six grandchildren: Alisha Wright (Brandon), Patience S. Locklear (Ethan), Pattie A. Jacobs, Adrian Jacobs, Audie R. Jacobs, Jr., and Shanda C. Jacobs; ten great grandchildren: Trinity Wright, Brannigan Wright, Eternity Wright, Serenity Wright, Bryson Locklear, Brylon Locklear, Nadah Locklear, Donavan Strickland, Kinzleigh Wyland, and Sophia Jacobs; three brothers: Horace Chavis (Linda) of Maxton, Harold Chavis (Valerie) of Maxton, and Sonier Chavis of Maxton, NC ; and a host of other relatives and friends.
The funeral services will be held in Cherokee Chapel Church, 5590 Oxendine School Road, Maxton, NC 28364.
