Pamela Ann Jones, 66, passed away on July 15, 2021, at HCA Mainland Medical Center after a lengthy battle with COVID. She was the wife of Tom Jones. They shared 43 years of marriage together.
Pam was born in Texas City, Texas, she was the daughter of Marvin and Irene Janicek of Hitchcock, Texas.
She graduated from Sam Houston State University in 1973 with a Bachelor of Arts in Education, after which she began her teaching career and taught for 40+ years. Her most recent role was as a second-grade teacher at Saint Helen's Catholic school in Pearland, Texas. Pam was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church. She enjoyed arts and crafts of any kind, reading and spending time with her loved ones. She will be remembered for being a loving wife and mother, her love of travel, her vibrant, lively, nurturing personality, her strength, optimism and perseverance through all of life's obstacles and for being the best wife, Mom and Nana.
Pam is survived by her husband, Tom Jones; children Ryan and Tiffany Jones, Kelley Jones and John Turner, SueAnne Duncan and Troy Ridenour, Erica Sartor; Grandchildren Jordyn Gutierrez, Sarah Jones, Kyndra Gutierrez and Layken Sartor, siblings Marvin Janicek and Beverly Plowman and numerous nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles.
Pam was preceded in death by her parents Marvin B. Janicek and Irene Margaret Janicek.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 20,2021, at ten o'clock AM at Carnes Funeral Home 3100 Gulf Freeway, Texas City, Texas 77591.
Mass will follow the visitation and will be held at 12:00 noon at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church 10114 Highway 6, Hitchcock, Texas 77563.
