Sharon Denise Watson, age 68, of Lenoir passed away Saturday, July 17, 2021 at Caldwell UNC Health Care. She was born October 11, 1952 in Caldwell County to the late Donald Edmund and Doris Lucille Williams Watson. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her fiancé, Wayne Roland; grandson, Marcus Edmund Debeve, Jr.; one brother, Mike Arney; and one sister, Donna Cox.

Miss Watson attended Walking by Faith Baptist Church and loved her Lord. She was selfless, giving, and always willing to lend a helping hand to those in need. She enjoyed fishing, playing games, listening to her family perform music, and making new friends. Sharon will be remembered for the unwavering love and support she had for her family and the genuine care she had for others.

Those left to cherish her memory include two sons, Marcus Edmund Debeve, Sr. and significant other Monica Baker, and Mike Joseph Debeve, Jr., all of Lenoir; one daughter, Michelle Renee Watson and significant other Adam Gosnell of Lenoir; two brothers, Benjamin Dale Watson and wife Mitzi of Granite Falls, and Gregory Edmund Watson and wife Julia of Lenoir; four sisters, Angela Hope Watson of Morganton, Sheila Renee Howell and husband Gordon of Lenoir, Lisa Anne Watson of Lenoir, and Freddi Upton of Virginia; eleven grandchildren, Elise Desiree Debeve, Kristen Renee Bentley, Brandon Gregory Crump, Lonnie Phillip Bentley, Harmony Jean Debeve, Abigail Alexandria Day, Winter Bella Yang, Aries Destin Debeve, Jayden Cheyenne Fox, Carson Gage Fox, and Elias Christian Debeve; and four great-grandchildren, Bella Crump, Grayson Crump, Zoey Faye Lynn Bentley, and Zachary Bentley.

Memorial services to honor the life of Sharon will be held Thursday, July 22, 2021 at 4:00 P.M. at Greer-McElveen Funeral Home Chapel conducted by Rev. Marvin Ford and Rev. Freddy Stapleton.

The family will receive friends Wednesday, July 21, 2021 from 5:30 to 7:30 P.M. at the funeral home.
