Mary Catherine, daughter of Lewis and Margaret Strickler, was born in New Lexington, Perry Co., Ohio, Jan 15, 1873 and peacefully pased away at her home in Basil, Ohio, Jan. 12, 1910. Aged 36 years, 11 months and 27 days. She was of a family of 6 children, two sisters and three brothers, but one sister and one brother have preceded her to the spirit world, where all sorrows are at an end.
On November 17, 1897, she was united in marriage to Mr. Frank Emfield, of Basil, Ohio, and to this happy union 6 children were born, but three have preceded the precious one to the spirit world.
