CORTLAND — Patricia Ann Taylor Hoover, 79, of Winter Haven, Florida, passed away peacefully Monday, July 12, 2021, at 6:30 p.m. at Acordia Senior Living.

Patricia was born May 6, 1942 at her maternal grandparents' home in Brookfield. She graduated from Greenville High School, Greenville, Pa. She ran a Brownie Troop before her marriage to James Dewey Hoover Aug. 24, 1963, in Clark, Pa. While her sons were in Cub Scouts, Patricia acted as their troop leader. She worked on 5 North at Trumbull Memorial Hospital for many years and drove school bus for the Lakeview Local School District for 20 years. Patricia enjoyed camping, reading, sewing, baking and spending time with friends and family. She and her husband and children traveled extensively in their campers, and she enjoyed her pets tremendously.

Patricia is survived by her husband of 57 years, James Dewey Hoover of Winter Haven; sons Michael (Margaret Derbyshire) Hoover of Syracuse, N.Y., and Jeffrey (Ellen Sanzo) Hoover of Northfield; grandchildren Stephanie (Charles Redford) Hoover of Ware, Mass., and Ian Rudy of Syracuse; as well extended family members.

Visiting will be Tuesday, July 20, from 10 to 11 a.m. at Staton-Borowski Funeral Home, 962 North Road NE, Warren. Services will follow mmediately. Entombment will follow in at All Souls Cemetery in Cortland.
