Jenny Lou Lewis of Arcadia, MO went home to be with the Lord on March 15, 2021 at the age of 74 years, 1 month, 29 days. She was born January 17, 1947 in Graniteville, MO, a daughter of the late William Henry and Emma Blanche Anderson Jones. On August 31, 1991 she was united in marriage to Gordon Lewis who precedes her in death. Surviving are three children; Matthew Noel of Arcadia, MO, Michelle (Tim) Lappe of Jackson, MO, Shannon (Brad) Mueller of Perryville, MO. Also surviving Jenny are a daughter-in-law Leha Noel, two brothers; Stanley (Wilma)Jones of Graniteville, MO, and Berry (Linda) Jones of Ironton, MO, three sisters Joyce (Joe) Crews, Jane(Bud) Lawson, and Judy Neighbors, eight grandchildren Richard, Jacob, Isabella, Cody, Kyle, Kaylee, Philip, three great grandchildren, one on the way and a host of other family and friends. Preceding her in death are a son Richard Noel, five brothers; Jim Jones, Warren Jones, Maynard Jones, Casey Jones, Rocky Jones, two sisters June Ward, Juetta Casteel, a brother-in-law Richard Neighbors, and a granddaughter Calen Noel.
For many years Jenny worked for the Missouri Department of Corrections in different capacities; she was a secretary to the Major, a Corrections Officer, and a Captain in the department. In her earlier years she also worked for the Brown Shoe Company to support her family. Jenny loved the Lord and was a member of the Banner Full Gospel Church and the Little Vine Baptist Church.
Jenny was a loving and caring wife, mother, sister, aunt, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend. She will be missed and cherished by all who loved and knew her.
A Celebration of Life will be held Friday, March 19, 2021 at 11:00 am from the Cole Family Chapel. Visitation will be held Thursday, March 18, 2021 from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm. Rev. Bud Lawson will be officiating the services. Interment will be held in Little Vine cemetery.
