Claude "Chip" Mastin Jones, III (64) of Williamsburg, VA, passed away unexpectedly in Virginia Beach, VA on July 14, 2021. He was preceded in death by his parents, Anne Armstrong Jones and Claude Mastin Jones, Jr.
Chip graduated from Blue Ridge School, St. George, VA. As a lifelong Williamsburg resident, Chip first worked in the family floral business, Claude Jones Jr. Florist, followed by a career with Colonial Williamsburg. He retired in November 2017 with over 30 years' service. Following his retirement, he enjoyed spending time with his family and providing care for his grandchildren.

He was one of a kind, always willing to lend a hand or give the shirt off his back. A rare breed of person who will be greatly missed by his family and friends.

Chip leaves behind his daughters, Maggie Kieser (Daniel) and Caroline Prickett (Andrew); grandchildren, Jackson Armstrong Kieser, Charlotte Mae Kieser, Connor Drew Prickett, and Harper Jones Prickett; sisters, Lucy Rothnie (John) and Caroline Ellerbrock (Ingo); nephews, Kevin Bunting, Kyle Ellerbrock and Clay Ellerbrock; niece, Anne Sally; and his two faithful dog companions, Pungo and Chessie.

The visitation will be Wednesday, July 21, 2021 from 6-8pm at Nelsen Funeral Home, 3785 Strawberry Plains Rd, Williamsburg with the service being held at Hickory Neck Episcopal Church, 8300 Richmond Rd, Toano, VA on Thursday, July 22, 2021 at 12pm. Masks are required at the church.
