Anthony "Tonie" Lee Crawford, 59, of Baltimore, Maryland, passed away peacefully on Monday, July 12, 2021 at Augusta Health in Fishersville, Virginia.

He was born on July 9,1962 in Williamston, North Carolina the son of the late Melvin Fitchlee Crawford and Anna Lee (Wiggins) Crawford.

He graduated from Robert E. Lee School. After high school he enlisted in the United States Army in 1982. He retired with an honorable discharge in 1993, as a Unit Supply Specialist Clerk. Anthony was a very talented pointillist art painter.

Anthony was a person who really enjoyed giving gifts to family, friends and strangers.

He was preceded in death by his father and nephew Marcus Lamont Crawford.

Anthony is survived by his mother; uncle, James Milton Wiggins; six siblings, Patrice R. Stroke (Sterling), Angela D. Washington, Melvin Anetta Keys (Riley), Alton F. Crawford, Barbara A. White (Jacques), Allen E. Crawford; 14 nieces and nephews, nine great nieces and nephews and two great great nephews, other relatives and friends.

A funeral service will be held 11:00 a.m. Thursday, July 22, 2021 at Ebenezer Baptist Church, 415 North August Street Staunton, Virginia 24401 by Rev. Dr. Michael A. Turner. Viewing will be one hour prior to the service at the church. Burial will be at Oaklawn Mausoleum and Memory Gardens.
