Denise Laney, 65, of Monroe went home to be with the Lord on July 17, 2021, surrounded by her family.
She was a longtime resident of Monroe, working as a department manager for over 35 years at the Wal-Mart.
Pammie loved the water, whether it be spending time at the beach or in the pool. She was generous and kind, always with a smile on her face and ready and willing to help others.
Pam was a longtime member of Lee Park Baptist Church and enjoyed being a part of the Women's Bible Study. She dearly loved her family and will be missed by all that knew her.
Pam is predeceased by her husband of 22 years, Ralph Laney Jr., her parents, John Lathan Belk Sr. and Helen Jearline Ashley Belk; her sister, Cindy Ellis and her brother, Johnny Belk Jr.
She is survived by her daughter, Crystal (Phillip) Hefner; grandchildren, Tiffany Hefner, Jordan Funderburk, Chase Hefner, Keegan Funderburk, Gabriel Hefner and Jase Hefner; nephews, Jeremy (Crystal) Ellis and their children, Logan and Cadence and Jason (Kathy) Ellis and their children, Hannah and Jimmy and niece, Mandy (Dennis) Funderburk and their daughter Madison Baucom and her longtime best friend, Barbara Moose.
The family will receive friends at Lee Park Baptist Church on Sunday, July 25 from 1:00 pm – 2:30 pm. The funeral service will be at 2:30 with Pastor Chris Justice officiating.
Burial will follow at Lakeland Memorial Park.
