Jo Ann Cooper, age 65, went to be with her Lord on Friday, July 16, 2021 at Bristol Regional Medical Center after a brief illness. Her entire life she was a very hard worker. She was an employee of Natalie Nitton where she was a seamstress for over 20 years. She was preceded in death by her father, Clinton Woodrow Cooper; her sister-in-law, Jackie Cooper; aunt and uncles, Alice and Harold Doane, and James Terry.

She is survived by her mother, Louise Terry Cooper; her three children, Shawn Pennington, Charissa Davidson and husband Jimmy, Erika Billings and husband Andrew; one brother, Mike Cooper; the pride and joy of her life, her grandchildren, Alli Cooper (Kerry), Dusty Jackson, Angel Pennington, Mattie and Bolden Billings; the light of her life, her great-grandson, Tucker Cooper; and her lifelong best friend, Lynn Jones.

Special thanks to the critical care staff at Bristol Regional Medical Center, especially Dr. York, Dr, Diaz, and Robin Bowman.

A graveside service will be conducted at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, July 20, 2021 at Mount Rose Cemetery with Pastor Bobby Collins officiating. Everyone is asked to please meet at the Cemetery.
