Joy graduated from Deaconess School of Nursing and worked at St. Joseph Hospital in St. Charles. She was united in marriage to Wayne L. Rogers on August 3, 1966 in St. Charles and they celebrated 34 years of marriage. To this union three children were born; Timothy, Chad and Nicholas. She and Wayne owned and operated Rogers Comfort Systems in O'Fallon together until his passing in 2000. Joy enjoyed playing Bingo and going to the casino. She loved being on the water at Lake of the Ozarks. Joy was a loving, wife, mother, daughter, sister, grandmother and friend.
Joy was preceded in death by her husband, Wayne; her parents, Elmer and Trudy Swann; her in-laws, Wilmer and Irene Rogers; one niece, Becky Martin. Those who are grateful for having shared in Joy's life are her children, Tim Rogers and wife Kelly, Chad Rogers, Nick Rogers; one granddaughter, Ashley Rogers and fiànce Matthew Jung; one sister, Fran Martin ( Don Gaither); nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
A Graveside Service, for Joy Rogers, will be held at St. Charles Memorial Gardens on Thursday July 22, 2021 at 2:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations are suggested to APA No Kill Animal Shelter. Donations can be made online at www.interland3.donorperfect.net
