Sidney Burleson Smith, 98, of Austin died Wednesday.
Services will be held at the Chapel of Westminister Manor on Monday at 10AM. Burial will follow at Oakwood Cemetery.
Ms. Smith was the daughter of Adele Lubbock Steiner and Albert Sidney Burleson. Albert Sidney Burleson was elected eight times as representative to the United States House of Representatives from Texas and served as United States Postmaster General from 1913 to 1921.
Ms. Smith was great-granddaughter of General Edward Burleson, Vice President of the Republic of Texas 1842-1844.
Ms. Smith was married to the late Bryant Smith and was sister to the late Laura Burleson Negley and Lucy Kyle Burleson Grimes, and is survived by two nieces and a nephew.
