Stella Anderson King, age 79, of Wilkesboro, passed away Friday, May 18, 2018 at SECU Hospice Home in Yadkinville. She was born October 7, 1938 in Wilkes County to Lawrence Worth and Martha Ann Shew Anderson. Ms. King was a member of Fishing Creek Baptist Church and retired from Lab Corp as a receptionist. Stella loved music; was a great singer and loved gospel music very much. Ms. King was a great Memaw and loved her grandchildren and family very much. She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Renee Gray; brother, Noah Lee Anderson; and sister, Oma Mae Harrold.

Surviving are her son, Jody King and wife Kristi of Ararat, Virginia; grandchildren, Kayla King, Jacob King both of Ararat, Virginia; brothers, Russell Anderson and wife Nadine of Winston Salem, Lawrence Anderson and wife Odel of Statesville, James Anderson and wife Annie of Winston Salem, Earl Anderson of Wilkesboro; sisters, Veatrice Parsons, of Wilkesboro, Myrtle Parsons of Lexington, Blanche Curtis and husband Gilbert, Ethel Beshears and husband Bennie all of Wilkesboro, Rose Lunsford and husband Allen of Union Grove, Jewel Parsons of Wilkesboro and lifelong friend, Ellen Furches of Clemmons.

Celebration of Life will be held at a later date, which will be held at the Anderson Home Place. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to SECU Hospice Home, Mtn. Valley Hospice, 243 North Lee Avenue, Yadkinville, NC 27055. The family would like to express special thanks to SECU Hospice Home/Mtn. Valley Hospice.
