Retired Executive Director of Ardmore's American Red Cross office, Patricia Ann Conway Whitener passed from this life at her residence Wednesday, July 14, 2021, surrounded by her loving family; as she made her way to her heavenly home.

Pat was born May 1, 1946 on the Goddard Ranch, near present day Gene Autry, Oklahoma, to the late William Edgar "Buck" Conway and Fern Gideon Conway. She grew up there and was a member of the 1964 graduating class of Berwyn High School. Pat received an Associate's Degree from Murray State College in 1990 and then to Southeastern Oklahoma State University where she received her Bachelor's Degree in Business in 1993.

Pat had lived all of her live in Gene Autry and Ardmore and had retired as the Executive Director of the American Red Cross office in Ardmore after a thirty-one year career. She had assisted countless families with emergency relief over the years. Pat proudly served her community and southern Oklahoma with the presence of the Red Cross.

In her leisure time Pat enjoyed doing genealogical research and found many interesting family connections. A kind and gentle person Pat truly loved those times with her family and grandchildren. Committed to her family and community, Pat Whitener will truly be missed, but not forgotten.

Pat is now rejoined with her loved ones, her parents, brothers, Schroocher, Leon, Marvin, Les, Glenn and Ernest Conway, who preceded her in death. She is survived by family that will forever cherish precious memories, including: her daughter, Angela Randolph and husband John; her son, Jimmy Whitener and wife, Johanna; her beloved grandchildren, J.R. Randolph and wife, Carlee, Mason Whitener and Dustin Barrick; also Laurie Hester, who was like a daughter; and her brother, Harold Conway.

The family sends special thanks to Good Shepherd Hospice and to Kim Fagan for their loving support and care of Pat and her family.

A celebration of Pat's life will be in the Centennial Chapel of Harvey-Douglas Funeral Home. Burial in Hillcrest Memorial Park.
