OBITUARY for Betty McKenny Harper she departed for Glory July 14, 2021 at 4:35pm.
Betty Joyce McKenny Harper was born on November 20,1927 in George West, Texas to a very happy couple. Betty is preceded in death by Joseph her Dad and Carmen her mother. Her husband of 63 years Lester Earl Harper of Odessa, Texas and grandson Capt. Lyle L Gordon USMC of San Diego, CA . And four Sisters. Sarah of Houston, Texas, Helen of Houston, Texas, Susan of Cleveland, Texas, and Frances of Houston, Texas.
Betty is survived by her brothers Wil of Walla Walla, WA, Joe of Terrell, Texas, Eddy of Baytown, Tx and David of Conroe, Tx. Her three children. Mary Joyce Harper Gordon of Midlothian, Tx. , Jessie Earl Harper of Memphis, TN. and Bobbi Ann Harper Wimberly of Burleson, Texas. Betty had four grandchildren, Lyle Gordon, Boyd Gordon, Bobbie Cates, and Kiva Hanes. Betty had 11 great grand children. Alyssa Eaves, Brittney Cates, Cassidy Cates, Dagen Cates, Shaun Gordon,
Tucker H. Gordon, Lyle A. Gordon, and Ty Gordon. Alexander Medina Jr., Kaylie Harman, and Avik Miller. She also had one Great Great Grandson, Michael Eaves 4 years old.
Mother loved God and children…she use to wake us with Arise and Shine for the Glory of God is upon you. Isaiah 60:1.
She always said good bye with…good bye I Love You and may Angels watch over
You.
She was loved and cherished by her family and we will miss her UNTIL we see her again!
