Tim was born in Oklahoma, then his family moved to Colorado shortly after his birth. After school, Tim joined the navy and served on the second USS Midway. He was present and watched the atomic blast on Bikini Atoll in the Marshall Islands following the war. After his discharge in 1947, he moved to Alaska and helped build the Alaska Railroad along with his father. In 1952, he was hired by Alaska Airlines as aircraft mechanic and assigned to McGrath station. After a year, he moved back to Anchorage, Alaska. He married in 1953, and had three children: Charles, Matthew and Vicki.

In 1958, he went to work for the FAA as a mechanic on the C123 and expanded to flight engineer, flying supplies into all the villages in Alaska. Tim retired in 1983, and not long after that the FAA decided to retire the C123 and Tim and the old crew flew it to the museum of flight.

Tim joined the Masonic Lodge in 1954 and became Master of the Lodge in 1974. He was also a member of the Pioneers of Alaska and was King Regent in 1999. He also belonged to many other organizations, always ready to lend a helping hand. His last float plane flight was on Father's Day 2015, at the age of 87, courtesy of Regal Air. Thank you very much. We would also like to thank the VA for help, support and care of Timothy through the years.

Services will be held on June 11, 2021, at 3 p.m., at Angelus Cemetery, 440 East Klatt Road in Anchorage. In lieu of flowers, please feel welcome to make donations to Victoria Lockeby (Vicki Jackson). On the memo line, please write Timothy Jackson Memorial.
