Mr. Paul Nelson, age 51, passed away Thursday, July 15, 2021. He was born March 15, 1970, in Dade City, Florida to Charles Nelson and Shirley Annette Rabon Nelson.
Mr. Nelson was a resident of DeFuniak Springs, Florida. He was Christian by faith. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and brother. He worked as a heavy equipment operator with the Walton County Landfill. He enjoyed fishing and especially enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren.
Mr. Nelson is preceded in death by his father, Charles Nelson; his mother, Shirley Annette Rabon Nelson; and his sister, Janice Nelson.
Mr. Nelson is survived by his wife, Diane Nelson of thirty years; his five children, Joey Dewayne Snell, and his wife Brooke of Salem, Alabama; Kenneth Paul Nelson of DeFuniak Springs, Florida; Brittany Nicole Spaid, and her husband Joseph of DeFuniak Springs, Florida; Matthew Levi Nelson, of DeFuniak Springs, Florida; Zoey Annette Nelson, of DeFuniak Springs, Florida; two brothers, Udon Nelson, of DeFuniak Springs, Florida; and Ricky Nelson, and his wife Deborah of Little River, South Carolina; one sister, Sheala Andrews, and her husband Ricky of DeFuniak Springs, Florida; ten grandchildren, Elyn Snell, Lakyn Snell, Adelyn Snell, Joseph Spaid, Nevaeh Spaid, Rylen Phelps-Nelson, Roman Spaid, Emmylou Spaid, Carter Paul Nelson, and Easton Nelson; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A time of visitation will be held from 6:00-8:00 PM Sunday, July 18, 2021, at Clary-Glenn Funeral Home Chapel; 230 Park Avenue, DeFuniak Springs, Florida 32435.
Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 AM Monday, July 19, 2021, at Clary-Glenn Funeral Home Chapel, with Reverend Ben Barton officiating.
Burial will be held at Clear Springs Community Cemetery; 1290 Highway 85 North, Laurel Hill, Florida 32567.
