Robert Wade Curtis, Lt. Col., U.S. Army, Ret., 72, of Boise and Cascade, Idaho passed away on July 3, 2021 from a sudden heart attack. Wade was born in Pocatello, Idaho on August 8, 1948.
After graduating from Pocatello High School, he attended the University of Idaho receiving a degree in accounting. Then he attended the University of Idaho Law School earning a juris doctorate. He joined the U.S. Army serving for 20 years retiring with the rank of Lieutenant Colonial. After returning to Idaho, he practiced law until his death.
Spending time at the Cascade cabin was his dream fulfilled. Wade enjoyed cooking, traveling, especially cruising, and finance. He experienced two memorable trips to Israel. He was a devoted member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served in the Meridian Idaho Temple. Wade was a board member for Hopkins Financial Services U.S. Fund.
Wade is survived by his wife of 48 years, Lorene, two children, Kristin and Andrew, seven grandchildren, his mother, JoAnn Curtis, two brothers, and one sister.
Funeral Services were held July 13, 2021 at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Cascade Ward, Cascade, Idaho. Burial will be Thursday, July 29, 2021 at the Idaho State Veterans Cemetery Boise with gathering at 12:45 p.m. and graveside committal services beginning at 1:00 p.m.
