Rachel Augusta Wells, age 93, passed away July 6, 2021 at Traditions of Brookside in McCordsville, Indiana. Rachel was born April 28, 1928 in Indianapolis to the late Rex and Nellie (Edwards) Brown.
Rachel resided in Oaklandon for over sixty years and was a lifelong member of the Order of the Eastern Star and was a graduate of Arsenal Technical High School.
She is survived by a sister, Joann Barnes and husband Leroy; grandson, Dustin Wells and wife Monique; and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James Wells in 2008; son, Mark Wells; sister, Rosalie Gladish; brothers, Huber Brown, Robert Brown, Herbert Brown and Donald Brown.
Graveside services will be conducted 10:00 a.m. July 23,2021 at Oaklandon Cemetery, Oaklandon. Hendryx Mortuaires is honored to help the family with the arrangements.
