Carol J. McDonald, 92, Hays, died Tuesday, July 13, 2021 at HaysMed.

She was born September 15, 1928 in Council Grove, Kansas, the daughter of Everett and Elma (Kendall) Heidel. She was a graduate of Council Grove High School. On January 11, 1948, she was united in marriage to Charles C. McDonald, at the First Baptist Church in Council Grove. He preceded her in death on April 8, 2016. She was a member of Cornerstone Southern Baptist Church. Carol was a homemaker, a volunteer at Hadley Hospital, and enjoyed working with others at local elections. She loved her family and especially loved caring for them.

Survivors include her two daughters, a brother , four grandchildren, ten great grandchildren, two great-great grandsons and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband - Charles, precious infant daughter - Mary Colleen McDonald, and a sister - Gaila Hendren.

Funeral services will be at 10:30 am on Tuesday, July 20, 2021 at Cornerstone Southern Baptist Church, with Pastor Jason Murray officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Allen Cemetery. Visitation will be from 9:30 am until service time on Tuesday at the church.
