Mrs. Bridges attended Appalachian State University, Greenville Tech College. Institute of Financial Education of Chicago. Illinois and took on Business Courses studying about savings, mortgage loans, customer service and advance supervisory where she later became a banking manager for first citizens bank.
Emily is survived by her brother, Dean Philbeck of North Carolina; daughter, Lynn Royston; son, Alan Bridges; grandchildren, Hunter Bridges, Dawson Bridges, Maddie Royston, and Zane Royston; her long-time caregivers, Cynthia, Shadae, Clara, Sue and Cora; as well as a host of special friends who she cared for and loved deeply.
Emily was a very strong and tough woman who was always known for making the rules her way. She was the "Boss" as she would put it and stood by that very firmly.
Preceded in death she will be joining her everlasting love Ronald "Ronnie" Bridges in their final resting place. Together at last and together as one!
