TAYLOR COUNTY KENTUCKY OBITUARY – 1989
George (Ruby) Adams, 77, Bass Ridge Road, Elkhorn, KY, died Monday, October 16, 1989 at the Taylor County Hospital. He was a native of Taylor County, a retired farmer, and a member of the Jones Chapel United Methodist Church. He was the son of the late Jimmy & Minnie Noel Adams. Survivors include his wife, Inez Adams; 2 sons and daughters-in-law, David & Sophia Adams, Don & Betty Adams, all of Campbellsville; 1 granddaughter, Donna Reed, of Campbellsville; and 1 sister, Janie Roundtree, Louisville. The funeral was held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, October 18, 1989 at the Lyon-DeWitt Funeral Home Chapel with burial in the Jones Chapel Cemetery. The Rev. Harvey Parker and the Rev. Donald Mackey officiated. Pallbearers were Walter Spurling, Ed Childress, Pete Arnette, DeWayne Hicks, Bryan Peake, D.H. Noel, Elvin Farmer and Buel McDonald.
