Dennis Charles Anerson, age 79, of Dearborn Heights, passed away on Tuesday, May 11, 2021 at his home.
The son of Joseph and Gertrude Anderson. He was born on April 13, 1942 in Detroit. Dennis worked at the Dearborn Heights Police department from 1963 to 1996. He retired after 33 years of service. Dennis was also a veteran of the United States Navy.
He was the beloved husband of Kathleen; loving father of Dana (Gary) Weigandt and Kristen Anderson; loving step-father of Erika (Matt) Sierzputowski, Scott Steffens, Amy (Mike) Grant; grandfather of Alyssa, Hunter, Mikayla, Isabela, Tori, Michael, Jaxon, and the late Lelaina; dear brother of Joyce (Johnny) Mechalko, twin Dale (Ilene) Anderson, Douglas Anderson, and Kathy Jo (Jim) Steinke.
