THOMPSON, Melanie Dance, 71, of Chesterfield, Va. passed away July 13, 2021. She was preceded in death by her husband, John Thompson; and son, Scott Thompson. She is survived by her daughter, Jennifer; sons, Brian, Michael and Daryl; and grandchildren, Emmett, Ryan, Kiersten, Forest, Tanner, Zach, Shannon and Rylee. Melanie ("Memaw" "Nana" or "Squirrel") loved and was loved by many. She loved her music as much as her family and friends. She was funny, witty, crafty and the strongest person you'd ever meet and you'd never catch her without her jewelry on. She will be missed by many. Services will be announced at a later date.
