She attended high school in Akron Ohio. She married the love of her life, Clarence Edward Watkins in Akron, Ohio. From this union they had 8 children. Clarence preceded Marty in death on November 7, 2011.
C.E. and Marty owned and operated the Watkins Flower Shop and Greenhouse for over forty plus years. She was a very successful painter. Marty loved to travel. She also enjoyed reading and spending time fishing and hunting. Marty loved people. She especially loved going to the coffee shop at Grandview. Clarence and Marty were two of the founding members of the Elks Lodge. She was a member of Grandview Church in Elk City.
Cherishing in her memory are her five sons, Don Watkins of Noble, Oklahoma, Dean Watkins of Jones, Oklahoma, Kent Watkins of Elk City, Oklahoma, Dave Watkins of San Antonio, Texas, and Scott Watkins of Woodward, Oklahoma; two daughters; Linda Watkins of Salt Lake City, Utah, and Helen Watkins of Canute, Oklahoma; ten grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; and two great-great grandchildren.
Preceded in death by her parents, Herman and Margaret Twickler; husband, Clarence Watkins; three brothers, Harry, George, and Richard; two sisters, Geneva and Mary; one son Gene Watkins; and one grandson Clay Watkins.
Memorials can be made to Special Olympics.
