22 Nov 1947 – 14 May 2021

Ruth Ann Fisher, 73, Houghton Lake, died May 14, 2021, at Horizon Senior Living Center in Gladwin.

Private family services will be held. Interment will be in Roscommon Township Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be directed to Roscommon County Commission on Agings' Meals on Wheels program. Christler Funeral Home, Houghton Lake Chapel, handled arrangements.

She was born in Grayling Nov. 22, 1947, the daughter of Cleo and Gladys (Jones) Yarnall.

She lived at Houghton Lake all of her life, like her parents did, and graduated from Houghton Lake High School.

She retired from Glen's of Houghton Lake after 30 years of employment. She also had worked at Carter's of Houghton Lake 10 years prior. Glen's was like a second home.

She was a member of the Houghton Lake Eagles and Houghton Lake Moose and attended the Roscommon County Commission on Aging's Houghton Lake Center. She enjoyed woodworking, crafting and crocheting. She would call bingo at the senior center, but her special love was square dancing and calling square dancing.

She was always there to help anyone who needed her, no matter what. She will be missed deeply by her family and friends.

Preceding her in death were her parents; maternal grandmother, Mildred Cook Yarnell; and brother, Floyd P. Yarnall.

Surviving are her daughter, Lisa Ann (Dave) Putman; grandsons, Phillip Hency and Zachary Hency; sister-in-law, Yvonne Yarnall of Houghton Lake; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
