Carol Jean (Kaser) Clark - Kuzbay

Carol Jean Clark-Kuzbay, a resident of Goshen and formerly of Mishawaka and Lakeville, passed away Monday evening, July 12, 2021, a few hours shy of her 93rd birthday. Carol was born on July 13, 1928 in Plymouth to the late Claude and Marion (Logan) Kaser. On April 2, 1950 in Plymouth, Carol and Lloyd G. Clark were united in marriage. Lloyd preceded her in death in 1979. On August 20, 1983 in South Bend, Carol married John H. Kuzbay. John preceded her in death on November 2, 2004. One sister, Norma Morgan, and two brothers, Ross and Keith Kaser, also preceded Carol in death.

Carol is survived by her three sons, Dan (Dianna) Clark of Broken Arrow, OK, Joe (Deborah) Clark of Hudson, IN, and Phillip (Jeannie) Clark of Goshen; eight grandchildren, Raeann (Kyle) Heath, Renae (Mike) Goolsbay, Danette (Matt) Carney, Mathew Clark, Melinda (Tony) Bollier, Joshua (Amy) Clark, Todd (Anna) Clark, and Nathan (Justine) Clark; nineteen great grandchildren; and seven great-great grandchildren.

Carol worked in a variety of settings as a registered nurse including hospital general care and ER, physician offices, and nursing home administration. Carol retired as an industrial nurse for South Bend Lathe where she was employed for ten years. She also worked with her son's company, Option Care Home Health, in post-orthopedic nursing. Carol was a 1946 graduate of Plymouth High School and a 1949 graduate of Memorial Hospital School of Nursing. She was a 50-year member of the Order of the Eastern Star in Plymouth. Over the years, Carol attended Albright United Methodist Church, Pine Creek Church of the Brethren and Crest Manor Church of the Brethren. She was a church organist for 52 years.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 24, 2021 at the Palmer Funeral Home, within the Palmer Community Complex, 601 N. Michigan Street, Lakeville. Graveside services and burial will follow at Fair Cemetery, North Liberty. Friends may visit with the family from 11:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m. on Saturday at the funeral home.
