Jay Tomblin, 82, of Orrville, formerly of Wayne, W.Va., died Sunday, July 25, 1999, at Doctors Hospital in Massillon.
Services will be Wednesday at 11 a.m. at Morris Funeral Home Chapel in Wayne, W.Va., with the Rev. Enoes Adkins officiating. Burial will be at Hillcrest Cemetery, Kenova, W.Va.
He was born Sept. 7, 1916 in Wayne County, W.Va., to Obie and Ella (Williamson) Tomblin and married Gladys Maynard on Oct. 31, 1936. She survives.
Other survivors include children and their spouses, Thurman and Joan Tomblin, Everal and Judy Tomblin, Ada and Jim Grose and Polly Spence, all of Orrville; 14 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; a brother, Okey Tomblin of Huntington, W.Va.; and sisters, Maxine Perry and Chloe Adkins, both of Wayne, W.Va., Lily Mae Romans of Huntington, W.Va., Neltha Thompson of Proctorville, and Trudy Brewer of Cleveland.
