Nancy Elizabeth Burleson, 68, of Centerville, passed away July 13, 2021 at her home in the Centerview Community of Leon County, Texas. She was born November 21, 1952 in Sterling, Illinois to J.E. & Rosemary (Hickman) Brown. Nancy was employed as an LVN at several facilities including four years at St. Joseph Hospital in Roswell, New Mexico, several years at Centerville Health Care Center and many years as an emergency room nurse at CHI-St. Joseph Madisonville. She was a true caregiver by nature and had greatly treasured spending her final days caring for her dear sister during her illness.

Nancy enjoyed reading and animals (especially cats) and enjoyed all of the beauty that nature provided. She had lived most of her life in Leon County and was Baptist in faith.

Nancy was preceded in death by both of her parents; brother, Johnnie Brown and sister, Mary (Brown) Smith. She is survived by son, David (Tammy) Perry of Conroe; grandchildren, Danielle Perry, Madeleine Leboeuf, Reagan Perry, Laken Moothart, Logan George and Lindsey George; great-grandchildren, Bryson Roberts, Lacey Stamper, Cash Moothart and Jet Moothart, and special cousin, Bob (Melinda) Hickman of Centerville.

Memorial services for Nancy will be held 11 A.M., Saturday, July 17, 2021 at Walters Funeral Home, Centerville, Texas. Rev. Bobby Wayne Burleson will officiate the service. A viewing will take place prior to the service from 10 A.M. to 11 A.M.

Arrangements are under the direction of Walters Funeral Home, Centerville, Texas.
