John Benjamin Husted was born February 11, 1978, in Bartlesville, Oklahoma, and died in Agra, Oklahoma, on July 13, 2021.
John was born to Rev. Ben and Judy Husted. He grew up in Bartlesville, Chelsea, Coalgate, Mannford, and finally Prague, Oklahoma, where he graduated from high school in 1996.
John graduated from East Central University after working his way through as a self-proclaimed grease monkey at Opela Oil Company.
John married Missy Davenport on April 16, 1999, in Paden, Oklahoma. He spent his final moments on earth there in his peaceful pasture, doing what he loved for the one he loved. He worked behind the scenes in other ways to make his communities better, serving at various times as the chairman of the Lincoln County Election Board, assistant secretary of the board for Lincoln County Rural Water and Sewer District #4, president of the Lincoln County GOP, and vice-mayor of Prague.
John is survived by his wife, Teressa Marie "Missy" Husted, of the home; his parents, Dr. Benjamin and Judy Husted of Prague; his sisters and brothers-in law, Joy Lin and Brant Hall of Claremore, Oklahoma, and Rebekah and Matt Lynam of Lexington, Oklahoma; and his grandmother, Iva Lois Sliger of Stonewall, Oklahoma. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Donald and Grace Husted and Willard Sliger.
Graveside Services were held Friday, July 16, 2021. Services were under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Services - Prague, Ok
