Deborah Kay "Debbie" Lyons, 57, Deason Lane, Hopkinsville, passed away on Tuesday, July 13, 2021, at Jennie Stuart Medical Center, Hopkinsville of natural causes.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, July 16, 2021, at Henderson Memorial Baptist Church with Rev. Ron Hicks officiating. Burial will follow in Green Hill Memorial Gardens. Lamb Funeral Home is assisting with arrangements.

Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Thursday, July 15, 2021, at Lamb Funeral Home.

A native of Hopkinsville, KY, she was born March 4, 1964, the daughter of James Edmond Lyons and Wanda Lee (McFarland) Lyons.

Debbie worked as a Special Education teacher at Christian County Board of Education for 27 years. She graduated from Hopkinsville High School, Class of 1982. She received her bachelor's degree from Austin Peay State University and her master's degree from Murray State University. She was a member of Henderson Memorial Baptist Church.

Survivors include her parents, James and Wanda Lyons, Hopkinsville, her longtime companion, Steve Travis, Hopkinsville; and her brother, Jimmy Lyons, Tallassee, Tenn.
