Pauline Joy Reeves, 79, of Mound City Kansas, currently residing in Peculiar MO, went to be with Jesus on June 24, 2021. She passed away peacefully in hospice. Born January 28, 1942 in Bethany Hospital in Kansas City, KS to adoptive parents, Ray Leroy and Freida Fouts of Mound City, KS. Joy went back to school after her children were raised to get her BA in sociology to later continue her lifes work in social services. She had an internal drive to help those who were in need.

Joy was a life time care giver at local nursing homes and an EMT and ER nurse early in her healthcare career. Joy is a long time resident of Belton and Peculiar MO and was active in Belton Assembly of God Church for a number of years. In her spare time she was a mentor to about any kid that came through her home. We always say, Joy loves all strays, be they kids, cats or dogs.

She leaves behind her brother CT Weber (Tatiana) Sacramento CA, two stepsons and two daughters. Robert Reeves (Barbie) Coffeyville KS, Dale Rhea San Diego CA, Tabbi Reeves (Gregg) Belton MO, Shelli Reeves Cherry Peculiar MO. Joy leaves behind countless others that call her Mama Joy, Bonus mom, Grandma and Great Gma.

Services will be held Wednesday, July 7 at McGilley and George in Belton. Visitation at 10:00 am and Service at 11:00 am. Burial will be following in Linnville Cemetery, north of Mound City, KS. The family requests memorial tributes be directed to Joy's funeral fund to assist with expenses.
