Max Tillman Ray, 92 years old, passed away on July 14, 2021 at his home in South Crossett, AR surrounded by his loving family.

He was born on October 15, 1928 to his parents, Tillman Newton 'Buddy' and Essie Burchfield Ray in Center Point, AR. He was the youngest of four children. He is a charter member of Crossett First Church of God. He was a long time member of First Freewill Baptist Church and past Sunday School Teacher who was loved by all his students.
He was a retired pulpwood supervisor for Ed Blankenship Pulpwood Co. He was a happy carefree guy who was always pulling jokes on people. He was a loving husband and father to six children.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one son, Ronald Dean Ray; one brother, Leon Newton Ray and sister in law, Martha Ray; a sister, Lucille Robbins and brother in law, Earl Robbins and sister, Lawanda Ray.

He leaves behind to cherish his memory, his wife of 51 1/2 years, Mary Bell Kelley Ray; two sons, Brian Ray, Sr. (Roni) and Max Patrick Ray (Betty), both of Crossett, AR; three daughters, Jean Russell Floyd (Kenny) of Camden, AR, Shelia Faye Hall (Larry) of Mer Rouge, LA and Mary Nell Ray of Crossett, AR; eleven grandchildren, Brooke Sneed (Billy) of El Dorado, AR, Brad Floyd (Melissa) of New Orleans, LA, Chris Ray (Krystal) of Spearsville, LA, Matthew Hall of Bastrop, LA, Mallory Olinde (Tanner) of New Roads, LA, Michael Trigleth (Brittney) of Crossett, AR, Billy Trigleth (Felicia) of De Ridder, LA, Justin Trigleth (Brandy) of Crossett, AR, Brian Ray, Jr. (Emily) of Crossett, AR, McKenzie June Ray and Emerson Claire Ray, both of Crossett, AR; fifteen Great Grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.

The family would like to give thanks to the hospice crew that worked with us, also home health nurses, occupational and physical therapists.

A Celebration of Life Service will be 2:00PM on Friday, July 16, 2021 at First Freewill Baptist Church in North Crossett, AR with pastors Brian Ray, Sr., Joey Johnson and Carlton White officiating. Interment under the direction of Jones Funeral Home, Inc. at Bethel Cemetery. Pallbearers are Brad Floyd, Chris Ray, Matthew Hall, Michael Trigleth, Billy Trigleth, Justin Trigleth and Brian Ray, Jr. Honorary Pallbearers are the men of First Free Will Baptist Church.

Visitation will be from 6:00PM until 8:00PM on Thursday, July 15, 2021 at First Free Will Baptist Church.
