God took Sheila of Reno, Nev., to be by his side. She was truly one of God's best children.

She was born the daughter of Arthur Floyd and Alice Harlow Floyd.

She was educated in Dixfield, where she went on to raise a family always putting them above herself. She had the unique ability to always find the good in people. Her deep love of reading made her one of the smartest and interesting people you ever met, but she never made you feel any less important than any of God's other children.

Her love of reading the Bible truly touched everyone she knew. No matter what was going on in your life, she had a passage to share with you to let you know everything would be all right. She spent the last 20 years in Reno, Nev., living and loving the life she was given.

She is survived by five sons, John McKay of Reno, Nev., Danny McKay of Dixfield, Jason McKay of Dixfield, Timmy McKay of Ecuador and Natty McKay of Reno, Nev.; two daughters, Alice Barnett of Carthage and Kathy McKay of Englewood, Fla.; a special daughter-in-law, Stacey Tedsens of Trukee, Nev.; a brother, Donald Floyd of South Paris; two sisters, Gertrude Peabody of Reno, Nev., and Ruthy Webster of Wilton.

She was predeceased by her husband, Clayton McKay; a son, Matthew McKay; and two brothers, Arthur Floyd and Joe Floyd.

A memorial service will be held in July 2008.
