Kenneth Allen Butler, age 66, a lifelong resident of Pasadena Texas, passed away peacefully, on Monday July 12, 2021. Kenneth was born November 13, 1954, in Houston TX.

Kenneth attended St. Pius V and Parkview Elementary School for his early education. He graduated from Sam Rayburn High School in 1973. As a young child and through high school, Kenneth was very active in the Boy Scouts and achieved his Eagle Scout rank. He was also very active in the Order of the Arrow.

Kenneth was strongly influenced by the many interesting and positive activities offered through the scouting programs. He devoted a great deal of his free time to scouting groups to provide opportunities for other young boys to grow, and mature into solid, patriotic citizens of this great country. He was awarded the Boy Scouts of America Silver Beaver Award for distinguished service to youth. Kenneth was selfless in his efforts to allow Brian to be active in Boy Scouts despite Brian being in a wheelchair. He enthusiastically escorted Brian to local and international scouting events.

He was employed by ARCO/Lyondell Basell for 43 years. Kenneth was a valued and respected employee by the owners and his fellow workers. He was dedicated and honest in his work ethic. He returned to work all through his various battles with cancer.  His uplifting positive attitude was an example for all who fight serious illness by their indomitable spirit.

Kenneth was dedicated to raising awareness and money to find cures for both Muscular Dystrophy and all forms of cancer.

Kenneth is preceded in death by his mother Sylvia Lovell, stepfather Richard Lovell and younger sister, Joyce Butler. He is survived by his loving wife Sandra of 46 yrs. He has two sons, Michael and Brian and a granddaughter, Madalyn, whom he adored. Other close relatives include his brother Steven Butler and wife Kathy, sister Diana Hanson and husband Boyd, and many nieces and nephews who will always remember the good times they had with fun-loving Uncle Kenneth.

Visitation will be held Friday, July 16, 2021, at 1:00pm. the service will follow at 2:00pm at Peevey Funeral Home, 12440 Beamer Road, Houston, Tx. 77089. A private burial will be held at Grand View Memorial Park.
