Evangelist Wanda Louise Thomas was born January 29, 1954, to the late Claude S. Sebree and Irene Bell, in Clarksville, Kentucky. She was the second eldest of eight children.

She attended Indianapolis Public Schools for her early education receiving special awards of recognition for Newspaper Staff and being an Office Helper. Wanda advanced on to IVY Tech State College where she earned her LPN Licensing Certification in 1992.

Evangelist Thomas was filled with the Holy Ghost in April of 1978 at Believers in Christ Church, later joining Victory Tabernacle Apostolic Church, before moving her membership in 1995 to Zion Tabernacle Apostolic Church under the leadership of Suffragan Bishop Thomas E. Griffith. Evangelist Thomas received her Ministerial License on August 12, 1994, and her Evangelist License from Aenon Bible College of the Pentecostal Assemblies of the World, Inc. on July 14, 1998. Wanda served the Lord with her whole heart. She was dedicated to reaching the mark of excellence. Serving with love, compassion and dedication. Evangelist Thomas was a faithful Alter Worker, she sung in the Women's Day Choir, Voice's of Zion Choir, Secretary for the Health Professionals, and Usher Auxiliary. Wanda also worked in the kitchen cooking and serving for the many ABSA Councils and Engagements held at Zion Tabernacle. She lived to serve God's people and His kingdom. Her passion and determination to serve was unmeasurable. Wanda's love for Christ brought others to give their life to Christ.

Wanda married Ronald S. Thomas Sr., in Indianapolis, Indiana on March 1, 2014.

She was a devoted, faithful and loving wife and mother of four children, Michael L. Buchanan, David D. Farral, Charene L. Cole and Charlie Buchanan IV. An amazing granny to ten grandsons, 3 great-grandsons, and 1 great-granddaughter. Through marriage, Wanda opened her heart to five stepchildren, Patricia, Dale, Steven, Ryan and Shondra Thomas and eleven additional grandchildren. Evangelist Thomas was the epitome of a Proverbs 31 woman. Strong in every aspect of life. A teacher and preacher of the Word of God!Holding on to her joy despite the trials that may have come her way. A prayer warrior at heart. Her smile was radiant as it lit up the room. Her glow was everlasting. She made sure things were done decent and in order. She lived for an adventure while traveling the world. Wanda enjoyed cooking, baking, caring for others as a nurse, crocheting, fishing and most of all spending time with family and friends.

Wanda began her career in the medical field in 1973 as an OB CNA at St. Francis Hospital where she served for 13 years. Upon passing the NCLEX for Practical Nurses and obtaining her LPN licensing, she served as a nurse for over 28 years working in Geriatrics, Pediatrics, Medical Surgery, OB & GYN, and the ICU to name a few. In 2016, Wanda retired from nursing with St. Vincent New Hope of Indiana.
