Graveside services for Mary Braddy Peavy, age 83, of Dublin will be held at 11:00 A.M. Saturday, July 17, 2021 in Graham Memorial Church of the Nazarene Cemetery with Rev. Kelly Maddox officiating.
Mary was born on November 28, 1937, to the late John Broadus Braddy and Addie Graham Braddy. She was preceded in death by her husband Dan L. Peavy, son Steve Peavy, brother Tullie Braddy, and sister Dean Braddy Mauney.
She worked many years at Oxford Shirt factory, Neighbors Exxon of East Dublin, and Bellevue Cottage. She was well known in her community for her many recipes, her cooking and baking. She deeply loved her family including all her beautiful extended families, cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends. Mary passed away on Wednesday, July 14, 2021 at Coliseum Medical Center.
She is survived by her 4 daughters Dannelle Melton (Mark), Gail Simmons (Richard Brandon), Reita Ussery (Al Young) and Terri Hutcheson, 6 grandchildren Mitch Melton (Kristina), Ashley Chafin (Josh), Dan Peavy, Cricket Ussery, Amy Peavy, and Tristin Tapley, and the loves of her life which were her 7 great grandbabies Abby Melton, Katlyn Russell, Christian Ussery, Emma Chafin, Hayden Johnson, Ethan Chafin and Anna Kate Chafin.
Pallbearers will be Mitch Melton, Dan Peavy, Ricky Peavy, Josh Chafin, Chris Turner and Christian Ussery.
The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM to 10:45 AM in the church prior to the graveside service.
