Calogera "Carolina" Glaviano was born on 10 May 1877, in Palazzo Adriano, Sicily, to Giovanni Glaviano and Macrina Nicoletti. She married Francesco Canzoneri, from the town of Prizzi, on 27 October 1895, in Palazzo Adriano. They had one son, Antonino, in Sicily.
In the mid-1890's, they immigrated to the United States, settling initially in New York. Calogera and Francesco had three more children, while in New York: Giuseppa (Josephine), Giovanni (John), and Andrea (Andrew).
Between 1906 and 1910, they moved west to Colorado, settling around the town of Trinidad. Sometime before 1910, her husband Francesco died. She moved with her family to Los Angeles, California sometime before 1930. She died on 3 April 1962, in Los Angeles.
